Optimal operations

Making supply chains sustainable will lead to reductions in negative impact on the environment and burden on workers. To achieve optimal operations, we are promoting improvements such as restructuring logistics bases and designing transportation and delivery routes. Furthermore, we are also working to reduce loading and unloading times by using pallet transport to reduce loading and unloading times. To address environmental issues, we have changed the measurements of cardboard boxes useオンライン カジノ 合法or some products to fit pallets, resulting in a 120% increase in the truck loading rate and thereby reducing greenhouse gas emissions in the distribution and delivery processes.

Improved logistics operations through automation

We have unmanneオンライン カジノ 合法orklifts and an automated storage warehouse at the Kyoto Factory. We installed the same facilities at the R&オンライン カジノ 合法actory and the Konan Factory in 2021. At the Shin-Utsunomiya Factory, which has the highest production volume, the warehouse is fully automateオンライン カジノ 合法rom production to storage, and truck loading time at the factory is now only 10 minutes, helping to reduce drivers’ waiting times.
Warehouse automation will lead to change the way we work. Before warehouses were automated, workers performed most work manually, such as forklifting and palletizing. Now, however, they are expected to have the skills to operate digital equipment and carry out maintenance work and workers are trained, whenever necessary, to acquire the skills they neeオンライン カジノ 合法or warehouse automation.

White Logistics Movement

The Calbee Group carries out the White Logistics movement together with other business companies, transportation and logistics companies. オンライン カジノ 合法ddress the issue of drivers’ waiting time at our distribution centers, we (1) monitor actual waiting time, (2) visualize the process at all distribution centers, (3) analyze the process and identify challenges, and (4) make improvements and successfully resolve the challenges.
We make continuous improvements with the aim of reducing waiting time to less than 30 minutes. In FY2023, waiting time at our distribution centers was reduced to 17 minutes on average. We share issues with our business partners through “network kaizen activities” and work together with them to improve their logistics site environment, such as improving waiting times at delivery destinations, reviewing incidental work, and extending delivery lead times.
